New England Anime Society
The New England Anime Society, Inc. (NEAS) was founded in 2001 in Massachusetts, USA. NEAS is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation purposed to further public education and understanding of Japanese society and culture through visual and written media. It is the parent organization for the annual Anime Boston convention, held in Boston, Massachusetts every spring.

Our Events
Anime Boston
Anime Boston is a three-day convention held annually in Boston, Massachusetts, under the supervision of the New England Anime Society. Our focus is celebrating and promoting Japanese animation, comics, and pop culture.
Since 2003, Anime Boston has been the cornerstone of the Northeastern anime convention circuit. Following its rapid and unprecedented growth, they moved venues from the Boston Park Plaza Hotel to the Hynes Convention Center, where they have held Anime Boston since 2005.
While Anime Boston's main focus has always been Japanese animation and comics, it has expanded to include other elements of Japanese pop culture, including J-pop, J-rock, and live-action Japanese media. It also explores Japanese culture and traditions, encouraging attendees to develop a more well-rounded perspective of Japanese society and values.
Today, hundreds of volunteers and staff members come together to make this convention possible. Every one of its staff members volunteers their time. Many of them work year-round to prepare for each convention.
